RP Seniors Am listup deadline June 14

MANILA, Philippines - Registration for the Philippine Senior Amateur Golf Championships ends June 14 with the three-day event set to fire off June 16 at the Mt. Malarayat Golf and Country Club in Lipa City, Batangas.

Fees are pegged at P3,500 (Open) for local entries and $90 for foreign participants and P2,500 and $65 in age group divisions, inclusive of one practice round on June 15, according to the organizing National Golf Association of the Phils.

Iggy Clavecilla is expected to lead the cast in the centerpiece Open division with the top Luisita bet shooting for a record fifth straight championship in the annual tournament among the country’s top golfing elders.

Out to foil his bid are former champions Francis Gaston, winner of the 2004 edition of the event for 55-years-old and above, Rolly Viray, who bagged the crown in 2005, and Pepot Iñigo, the 2009 runner-up, plus a host of others.

Also on tap are competitions in Category II (60-64), Category III (65-69), Super Senior I (70-74) and Super Senior II (75 and above).
