MANILA, Philippines – Ronald Pontillas returns to the big screen as his latest fight against Joan de Guia serves as the main bout of tonight’s episode of Rod Nazario’s In This Corner over NBN-4.
The bout, fought over 10 rounds, will be shown 7-8 p.m. and is presented by Ginebra San Miguel, San Miguel Beer, Purefoods, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, Biogenic Isopropyl Alcohol and Petron.
Pontilla and de Guia were part of the boxing promotion recently sponsored by Rod Nazario’s In This Corner in tandem with Biñan Mayor LenLen Alonte Naguiat and former Mayor Arthur Alonte at the Biñan Sports Plaza in Laguna.
Meanwhile, In This Corner presents on May 31 `Bakbakan Sa Eastwood City’ promotion featuring the IBF Pan Pacific light-flyweight championship between champion Arman dela Cruz (Pelegrino boxing stable-Cagayan de Oro) and No. 1 challenger Sonny Boy Jaro (Elorde Shaw boxing gym-Mandaluyong).
The fight card, presented with Arci Boxing Promotion, includes the RP lightweight title match between Jay Solmiano (Elorde Team Quatro-Mandaluyong) and Cris Alag (SGG boxing stable-Dipolog).
Weigh-in and press conference for the promotion is set on May 30 at the Central Plaza in Eastwood City.
