NCA derby final on at Ynares

MANILA, Philippines - The National Cockers Alliance (NCA) World Championship Derby holds its championship round today at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig with three entries toting four points and four others just half-a-point behind.

Bebot Uy’s SF Firefly 12, Bebot Roxas and Paul Estrellado’s Tarlac Farm PE2 and Tiffany 4 Cock July 15 BSA are expected to slug it out for the crown with perfect scores in the elims and the semis although a host of others will be out to foil their bids for the coveted plum.

SRLB of Ferdie Buensalida heads the 3.5 pointers group that includes Sarangani Pacman of Manny Pacquiao, Don Ramon ng Cavite Col of Ramon Manzanares, and Sky King of Romy Tan.

Still in the hunt are three pointers BJ Clemos Angel, Tarlac Farm PE1 of Bebot Roxas and Paul Estrellado, Firefly 13 of Ernie Austria and Hessie Mallillin, Binangonan Scorpio BST of Boy Torres, Jade Resort 2 of Manny and Armand Santos, Kami Naman of Atienza and Martinez, Pasay Anniversary July 13-16 of Patrick Antonio, Diego of Eric dela Rosa and Red Creek of Iggy Arroyo.

Meanwhile, Simple Lang Pero Swak na Swak leads the race for NCA Cocker of the Year with 56 points. Firefly 13 has 51 points while Gold Quest Champions totes 50 1/2 points.

Also in contention are TR Oragon with 50 points and Salpukan Tata Pete with 48 1/2 points.

The winner of the NCA World Championship Derby will get an additional three points, while the second placer will receive two points.

The World Championship Derby is sponsored by Sagupaan Complexor and serves as a prelude to the NCA Big Event on June 8.
