Tiffany Power Kids fun run slated

MANILA, Philippines - Parents, kids and running newbies will get a piece of the action as the first Tiffany Power Kids Fun Run gets going on May 29 at the McKinley Hill, Global City.

The family fun run is a semi-competitive race that invites kids, parents and running newbies to a 500-meter, 1K, and 3K run and walk through McKinley Hill. Assembly time starts 4 p.m.

“Even if running is now the biggest trend, there is no one geared specifically for kids and the family. Tiffany Power Kids Run 2010 seeks to start them young by encouraging kids as early as two years old, in tandem with their parents and siblings, to join the fun. We promote running not only as a competitive sport, but a part of a healthy and family-oriented lifestyle,” said Adette Purto, marketing consultant of Tiffany Chocolates, a premium and leading brand from the Middle East.

Numerous fun activities, loads of freebies and attractive prizes such as PSP, cellphones and IPod await participants of the event. Free Ocean Adventure tickets are offered to participants that come in pairs or teams of four and fish packs will also be given as take home pets for kids.

Participants can register at selected Chris Sports outlets, Market! Market!, Glorietta 3, SM City Annex, SM Megamall and SM MOA and KinderGolf at Shangri-La.

Aside from the great prizes, fun, after-race activities ups the enjoyment factor such as Game Machines by TimeZone, Putting Mats by KinderGolf, Table Top Games by Strings of Fun, Inflatable Basketball Ring by Purefoods, Carbo-Loading Station by SYSU (McCormick, Clare Ole, San Remo, JIF and Tree Top), Belly Dancing Exhibition for the moms and Basketball Shoot out for the dads.
