Superal reigns anew in ICTSI jungolf circuit

-

MANILA, Philippines - Princess Superal sustained her top form and dominated Class B in the sixth leg of the ICTSI Junior Golf Summer Circuit at the Canlubang north course in Laguna recently.

Superal, fresh from her victory in the 13-14 years age-group division in the Asia-Pacific junior championships in Bangalore, India last week, joined the tourney barely a day after arriving and won emphatically by 15 strokes with her main rivals missing.

While Bernice Olivarez-Ilas remained unbeaten in girls Class E play at the Riviera executive course, Anne Sabater joined the season’s list of first-time winners in the circuit backed chiefly by ICTSI when the Eastridge bet topped girls Class A by three shots.

Mia Legaspi (Class C), Samantha Bruce (Class D) and Arnie Taguines (Class F) were the other winners of the girls division.

Lawrence Celestino, Jonar Austria, Rupert Zaragosa, Lorenzo Sebastian, Jets Sajulga, Carl Corpus and Miguel Olivarez-Ilas comprised the boys winners of the event also supported by Philippine Airlines, Pancake House Group, Teriyaki Boy and Sizzilin Pepper as major sponsors. The other sponsors are Dynamic Sports and Leisure Corp., McDonald’s, Smart, Golf Depot and Pioneer Insurance.

Celestino posted his most impressive scoring effort so far in the circuit of one-over 217 to emerge as the special division winner. Austria prevailed in Class A, Sebastian topped Class B, Zaragosa ruled Class C, Sajulga captured Class D, Corpus took Class E and Ilas prevailed in Class F.

Superal and Celestino lead a banner cast in the Faldo Series Philippines Championship starting today at the TAT Filipinas course in San Pedro, Laguna.
