Zubiri heads ABC bowl winners

MANILA, Philippines - Lito Zubiri of Duraflex Wires dominated Group I with 1310, Mar Quianzon of Euro Dach captured the Group 2 crown with 1189 while Carlos Borja of DN Steel topped Group 3 with a 1009 in the Architects Bowling Club’s monthly championship at the Green Valley lanes in Pasig last week.

Manny Padit of Philflex Wires and Cables scored 1305 and Denis Jalandoon of Emerald Vinyl had 1289 to finish second and third, respectively, in Group I of the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Jimmy Ocampo of American Wires came up with 1173 and Violy Magsakay of Firefly-Royu had a 1150 to place second and third, respectively, in Group 2. Vic Sison of Philflex Wires scored 970 and Roy Gelvezon of HCG Phils. rolled 966 to finish second and third, respectively, in Group 3.

Meanwhile, action in the event, backed by Concrete Ventures, Famcor, Boysen Konstruct/Knoxout/Virtuoso, Crown Pipes, Crown Supreme Pipes, ABC Phils., Supreme Steel Pipes Corp., ProActive Pest Control, Ta-tong, Toto, Atlanta Industries, Hocheng Phils., Universal Tech/Pansun, Medwest Tech. Inst., SP&A Const. and Unitec Pipes, resumes at 4 p.m. today for the ABC anniversary tournament and at 7 p.m. for the all-star games (bakers game), also at Green Valley.
