Alvez tops Walk of Fame golfest

MANILA, Philippines - Efren Alvez scored a net four-under-par 68 to capture the overall crown in the inaugural German Moreno Celebrity golf tournament at Wack Wack’s west course recently.

Noel Marcellano shot a six-under 66 to cop the low gross honors in the one-day event staged for the benefit of the Walk of Fame Philippines Foundation Inc.

Moreno established the Walk of Fame at Eastwood, Libis in QC, the Filipino version of Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, in honor of the leading Filipino personalities.

Mike Tanto (69) and Kit Dichaves (71) topped the Class A and B division in the event presented by Manila Vice Mayor Isko Moreno and sponsored by GMA Network, Outback-Libis, Unilever, Auto Hub, Standard Insurance and Turf Company.

Rudy Medina (73) and Charlene Abalos (69) ruled the Class C and Ladies divisions of the tournament backed by Tape Inc., 7107 Islands Cruise, Vista Land, Sen. Bong Revilla, Mayor Strike Revilla, Calayan Surgi Center, Topstyle Marketing and Viva Entertainment.
