Mountain bike race, clinics set

MANILA, Philippines - Westgate Center in Filicity, Alabang, Muntinlupa, will hold the first Mongoose X-Country Race at the Filicity Bike Trail today.

 Organized in partnership with Bikeline, distributor of Mongoose Bikes, the race is divided into seven categories: beginners (13 to 20 years old, 21 to 30 years old, and 31 to 40 years old); masters (41 years old and up), ladies (open age beginners); megaman (200 lbs and up/36” waistline) and sport/classified (open age).

 Registration fee for the race is P400. Interested racers may call Bikeline at 238-2429 or register on the race site. Westgate Center is also hosting a series of free bike clinics for mountain bikers on May 15, 22 and 29. It will be handled by Albert Buenaseda of Bikeline.
