Red-hot Bayron one up with 66

-

MANILA, Philippines - Jay Bayron stayed on a birdie binge again as he fired a six-under par 66 to seize a one-stroke lead over Indonesian Rory Hie and Wisut Artjanawat at the start of the $50,000 Kariza Indonesia Championship at the Gading Raya Golf Club, outside of Jakarta.

Bayron, who rallied with an eight-under 64 in the final round to register a second straight finish in last week’s Pattaya Open of the Mercedes-Benz Tour, made seven birdies to negate a bogey in a day of torrid scoring.

“I seem to be doing everything right apart from winning,” said Bayron, who also finished runner-up to Artemio Murakami on the tour’s kickoff leg at Manila Southwoods last month.
