Labor Day Fun Run is for entire family

-

MANILA, Philippines - What better way to spend Labor Day, when workers take time off work, than to celebrate it with the people we work so hard for.

Organizers said the First Labor Day Fun Run on May 1 at The Fort, Global City, Bonifacio, Taguig is for running enthusiasts and their families.

The fun run aims to develop and strengthen the bond in the Filipino family through sports and to inspire all generations to experience the benefits of exercise through running or walking.

Categories of the event, presented by Roam Philippines and Solar TV, and supported by R.O.X. Bonifacio High Street and Figaro Coffee, The Philippine Daily Inquirer, U92FM and Official Social Partner Friendster, are the 5K and 3K.

Participants can download their forms online at www.takbo.ph or email [email protected] for more information.

Race entry forms are also available at R.O.X. Bonifacio High Street and Figaro Coffee at Emerald Building, Pasig and Tomas Morato, Quezon City.

Registration is until April 29 with entry fees of P300 for 5K and P250 for 3K.

To keep runners and walkers hydrated, several water stations are installed throughout the course as well as the finish line. Medics will also be on standby at specially designated corners to ensure the safety and well-being of the participants.

Race marshals and security personnel will be stationed around the route to assist runners.
