SlimmeRun fires off tomorrow at The Fort

MANILA, Philippines - Over 2,000 runners, including the Slimmers World International Miss Bikini Philippines winners in the last two years and this year’s official candidates, see action in the SlimmeRun tomorrow at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.

Other celebrities expected to grace the foot race are Eat Bulaga host Daiana Meneses, Optical Media Board chairman Ronnie Ricketts and wife Mariz, Cory Quirino, Tessa Prieto and Ironman athletes from Hong Kong.

At stake is a total of P53,000 in cash prizes plus medals to the top finishers of the various categories and P21,000 worth of gift certificates from David Salon. Another P18,000 worth of gift certificates will also be up for grabs from Dental First.

All winners will also receive gift cards and portable USB memory cards, while all finishers will receive various gift packs from other support sponsors.

The official water provider for the 2010 SlimmeRun is Fuji Water while the official sports drink is Pocari Sweat.

According to race director Rudy Biscocho, the 10-kilometer event will be fired off at 5:45 a.m. on 28th St. The 5K fun run will begin at 6 a.m. while the 3K side event will start at 6:05 a.m.

Biscocho is advising all participants to be at the assembly area on 7th Ave. and 28th St. not later than 5 a.m. for the final briefing and check in. He is also asking all runners to check their bib numbers prior to check in. Bib numbers with blue background are registered in the 10K event, red background is for the 5K run, and the green background is for the 3K race.
