Sunkist Healthy Heart exec run up at Alabang

MANILA, Philippines - Runners in the Masters and Executive Class will have a venue to showcase their talents with the staging of the Sunkist Healthy Heart Executive Run April 25 atAyala Alabang in Muntinlupa.

The race, jointly organized by RFM thru beverage and drinks division general manager Greg Banzon, and the Triathlon Association of the Philippines (TRAP), features 10K and 5K races.

Banzon said the race would be different from other running events since these categories will not longer be side events.

“For the Sunkist Healthy Heart Executive Run, focus will be on the runers in these categories as they engage in a friendly competition with promoting healthy lifestyle thru running and drinking the right beverages our utmost concern,” said Banzon.

TRAP president Tom Carrasco Jr. added only runners who pass the criteria will be allowed to compete where medals will be up for grabs in the different age groups for men and women.

The Executive division is open only to a senior manager or top executive in a company with a paid-up capital of P10M. Members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines with a rank of Major or higher are also eligible to join.

The Masters division is open only to males 40 years and above and females 35 and above.

“This event will also be the first of two partnership projects between TRAP and RFM since we will also be holding a second edition by October featuring a 10-mile and 10K race,”said Carrasco.

First time runners and residents of Ayala Alabang Village can participate in the 5K division.

Organizers are not allowing on-site registration so runners who want to join the race can fill up registration forms until April 22.

Registration fees for 10K are P500 until end of March, P700 from the period of April 1-18 and P800 for April 19-22 while fees in the 5K race is at P400, P500 and P600 for the same periods of registration. On-site registration is not allowed.
