BEST volley, basketball listup set

MANILA, Philippines - Enrollment is now going on for basketball and volleyball classes at the Poveda Learning Center along EDSA, Quezon City under the sponsorship of Milo.

The schedule of clinics for both sports is Wednesday/Friday from April 7 to May 1.

Introduction to Basketball (levels 1 and 2) sessions will be conducted from 8 to 11 a.m. while volleyball classes for levels 1 and 2 will be held from 1 to 4 p.m.

Former national coach Florentino “Kid” Santos handles the volleyball classes, assisted by coach George Pascua.

Founded by Nic Jorge 32 years ago, BEST Center has been elevated to the Hall of Fame by the Philippine Sportswriters Association. It has also received an Olympism Award from the Philippine Olympic Committee.

Among BEST Center’s popular cage graduates are Kiefer Ravena, Renzo Subido, Jonas Villanueva and Marce Arellano.

Meanwhile, the BEST Center management bared that some basketball clinics in the South have falsely claimed being part of Milo BEST Center.

“The only basketball clinic sponsored by Milo is the one run by BEST Center under its founder, Nic Jorge,” a BEST Center official said.
