Alabang stays at helm in F League

Alabang scored its second sweep victory in its home game against defending champion Orchard to stay on top of the standings after Round 4 of the 2010 Ladies Federation League matches in various courses recently.

The Alabang ladies saw their winning run stopped at two after being held to a 2-2 draw at Orchard but regrouped to post a 3.5-.5 win in its hosting turn. Alabang has 9 points in four games with three wins and a draw.

Sta. Elena edged Riviera in their own matchup, 4.5-3.5, to move up to second place at 5 points with a 2-1-1 win-loss-draw record, just a point up on Highlands which has yet to complete its tie with Manila Southwoods.

Sta. Elena held Riviera to a draw in an away game before taking a 2.5-1.5 decision at home in the weekly matches organized by the Federation of Golf Clubs Philippines, Inc.

Highlands hosted Southwoods to a 2-2 tie and both teams are set to complete their duel today in Carmona, Cavite.

Alabang recovered from the brink of defeat and salvaged the draw against Orchard by taking the greensome format, 2 up.

Highlands is set to play Sta. Elena for rounds five and six. Riviera collides with Alabang and Orchard squares off with Manila Southwoods.
