2 title bouts up in URCC 'Reckoning'

-

MANILA, Philippines - Mixed martial arts (MMA) fans will be treated to two explosive championship bouts when the Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC) holds the Colt 45 URCC XVI “Reckoning” on March 27 at the A. Venue Events Hall in Makati City.

Aside from the welterweight clash between reigning champion and multi-titled wushu expert Eduard Folayang and Korean Dooje Chung, a 42-year-old dentist from Davao City is shooting for the lightweight crown in the event organized by URCC and presented by Colt 45.

Angelito Manguray of Pythons Pit collides with Salvador Domasian of Ground and Pound MMA for the vacant title in the 10-bout event. The crown was previously held by MJ Banaga.

“The fight between Manguray and Domasian is expected to be a thriller,” said URCC president Alvin Aguilar. “Both fighters have been waiting for this fight.”

Tickets, pegged at P1,000 and P500, are now available at Ticketnet (tel. No. 911-5555). The first bout starts at 7 p.m. with the bantamweight clash between Jerson Estoro and Roldan Cartagena.

Three more bantamweight fights are scheduled in the event backed by Tribal Gear and My PLDT Watchpad as the other sponsors with Solar Sports, Solar TV, NU107 and 99.5RT as media partners.
