Cebuana nine tops Pangaea slo-pitch

MANILA, Philippines - Cebuana Lhuillier finally ended the Fattboys-Guzzlers-Singapore’s win run in the 17th Pangaea Cup at the Alabang Country Club recently, pulling off a 7-6 victory to capture the Super Division crown of the annual slo-pitch softball tournament.

Cebuana Lhuillier ruled Group B to advance to the finals while Fattboys-Guzzlers swept Group A of the six-team, two-division tournament which featured local teams and squads from Indonesia, Hongkong and Taiwan.

The Entom Tigers, meanwhile, nipped the Meralco Sluggers, 7-6, to top Division A while Tokyo Cocobay Stingrays emerged the Club Division champion.

The three-day event was sponsored by Handle Bar, Lifeline DOC, Philippine Transmarine Carriers, Pocari Sweat, Prizmic, Brill, 3N2, Calcium-Cee, Squeezed 4 U, A Fucoidan, Pangaea and Pureplay Sports Management.
