De Jesus pockets ABC singles plum

MANILA, Philippines - Romi de Jesus of Toto flashed superb form and fired a six-game series of 1472 to rule the Architects Bowling Club’s singles one group at the Green Valley Bowling Lanes in Pasig City last week.

Jerry Cham of Boysen Paints rolled 1418, Manny Padit of Philflex Wires and Cables scored 1377, Jimmy Ocampo of American Wires had 1333 and Lito Soriano of SP&A Const. came up with 1310 to finish second, third, fourth and fifth, respectively, in the weekly event sponsored by Nation and Boysen Paints.

Meanwhile, Nepthy del Rosario topped the first Duraflex Club 275 while Nonoy de Jesus, Jun Sy, Buddy Segui, Jed Tiongson, Manny Padit, Violy Magsakay and Boy Roldan make up the first batch of Philflex Club 250.

Action in the event, backed by Boysen Konstruct, Boysen Knoxout, Crown Pipes, Supreme Pipes, ABC Phils., ProActive Pest Control, Ta-Tong, Stone 2000, Atlanta Industries, Hocheng Phils., Universal Techno/Pansun, Medwest Tech. Inst., Emerald Vinyl, Firefly-Royu, SP&A and Unitec Pipes, resumes at 7 tonight with the staging of the first leg circuit, three-man team event at Starmall at Edsa corner Shaw Blvd.
