Cossack eyes second PBL win vs Ascof Lagundi
MANILA, Philippines - Cossack Blue tries to force a three-way tie for the early lead when it battles the dangerous Ascof Lagundi squad while AddMix tangles with Fern-C today in the PBL PG Flex-Erase Placenta Cup at The Arena in San Juan.
Built around the core of University of the East, the Cossack Spirits hope to make it two in a row as they face the Ascof Lagundi Cough Busters at 2 p.m. while AddMix Transformers take on the Fern-C Ferntastics at 4 p.m. as the league enters its second week.
Cossack surprised Fern-C, 81-77, Thursday but against the Ascof Lagundi Cough Busters, they have to raise their game a notch higher to join surprise leader Excelroof and Cobra.
Excelroof continued its remarkable run by crushing fellow newcomer Ani-FCA, 83-59, last Sunday to keep abreast with the Paul Lee-led Cobra Ironmen at 2-0.
