Architects hold monthly golf tiff

MANILA, Philippines - The Architects Golf Club will hold its monthly tournament and the AGC Cup inter-school match play series at the Splendido golf course in Taal with 130 players seeing action.

The monthly meet is part of the club’s year- round 25th anniversary celebration with the series of golf events being spiced up with a hole-in-one prize – a brand-new Suzuki-Alto – on all par 3s in every tournament.

In case nobody scores an ace, the car will be raffled off to the club members this December. The number of tickets on the raffle will be the same as the actual attendance of the members with one ticket per tournament.

Meanwhile, Adones Baluyut dominated Group One with a gross 85 in Stableford format in the January edition of the AGC series at the Caliraya Springs Golf and Country Club. Jovencio Fojas Jr came in second with an 87 while Pelagio Alcantara finished third at 83 in the event hosted by Atlanta Industries, Inc. and Caliraya Springs.

In Group Two, Roman Lozano III emerged champion, followed by Nepthy Delo Rosario and Ric Mongalo.

Julian Confesor ruled Group Three with Roy Cordero taking runner-up honors and Eymard Agping the third plum.

The other winners were Ramon Mendoza in Group Four followed by Ramon Ajero and Rodelo Umali with Juanito Baredo claiming top honors in Group Five. Joven Guevarra was first runner-up followed by Noel Santiago.
