Lady Tams, Lyceum five still unbeaten

MANILA, Philippines - The Cebuana Lhuillier-backed Far Eastern University and Lyceum-Jaguars rolled to their third straight wins by beating separate rivals in the PWBL Burlington Bio-Fresh Cup at the Ynares Sports Center in Pasig last weekend.

The Morayta-based squad downed the PMI Lady Admirals, 72-66, while the Intramuros cagebelles surprised the RP team-backed I Remit, 52-47, to stay unbeaten in the tournament backed by LWUA chairman Butch Pichay and Gov. JunJun Ynares of Rizal.

France Cabinbin and Karen Lomogda starred for the Lyceum-Jaguars with 12 and 10 points, respectively, while Allan Lim and Raiza Palmera led the Lady Tamaraws with 23 and 22 points, respectively.

In other games, Pascual-Lagundi edged Team Army of Col. Bay Pascual, 64-62, and Adamson-Northern Samar dumped UST-Global Graphics, 72-62.

Highlights of the tournament, also backed by Burlington Phils., BioFresh, Wilson, Everlast, Foton, Moldex, Atlanta, Nation, GSIS, Pagcor, PCSO, Province of Northern Samar , Asics shoes and Molten, are aired every Thursday at 10:30 p.m. on Basketball TV.
