Tiongson leads architects bowl monthly winners
MANILA, Philippines - Jed Tiongson of Stone 2000 dominated Group I with 1451 pinfalls, Romi de Jesus of Toto captured the Group 2 plum with an 1158 while Joen Mejia, also of Toto, rolled 1064 to bag the Group 3 crown in the Architects Bowling Club’s monthly championship at the Green Valley Lanes in Pasig City last week.
Ron Sy of SP&A Const. scored 1324 and Manny Padit of Philflex Wires and Cables had 1296 to finish second and third, respectively, in Group I of the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.
Jonathan Lim of Crown Pipes came up with 1124 and Sandra Enriquez of Medwest Institute turned in 1111 to place second and third, respectively, in Group 2. Greg Mare of Boysen rolled 1026 and Zeny Prudente of Supreme Steel Pipes had 969 to finish second and third, respectively, in Group 3.
Meanwhile, action in the event, backed by Unitec Pipes, American Wires, Atlanta Pipes, Ta-tong, Pansun Tech. Inst., Duraflex, Firefly-Royu, ProActive Pest Control, Emerald Pipes, HCG and ABC Phils., resumes at 7 tonight with the staging of the Sponsors Cup, also at the Green Valley lanes.
