Letran netters post 2 wins

MANILA, Philippines - Letran hacked out a pair of impressive victories over Arellano U and Jose Rizal over the weekend to set in motion its title bid in the men’s division of the 85th NCAA table tennis tournament at the Emilio Aguinaldo College gym in Manila.

Stephen Timson, Noel Trayco, Kenneth David and Leo Oria won their singles’ matches while Jayson Mesias and Earl Nicdao teamed up in 3-0 triumphs over the Chiefs and Bombers to gain a piece of the lead in the event backed by Andro.

The Noel Gonzales-mentored Knights now have a 2-0 (win-loss) record in a tie with the Perpetual Help Altas and the San Beda Lions.
