In This Corner features rising star

MANILA, Philippines - Promising bantamweight Richard Pumicpic takes centerstage in tonight’s (7-8 p.m.) episode of Rod Nazario’s In This Corner over NBN-4.

Pumicpic’s recent fight against Rey Sumapig will be the featured fight in the one-hour show presented by Ginebra San Miguel, San Miguel Beer, Purefoods, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), Biogenic Isopropyl Alcohol, GSIS and Petron.

To be shown prior to the main bout are the previous fights of Pumicpic against Allan Tanada and Sumapig against Kosta Luzarito.

The Pumicpic-Sumapig showdown served as part of the supporting events in the Quest For Glory dual boxing championships at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

The dual title duel had Eden Sonsona and Monico Laurente disputing the Philippine bantamweight championship, and Danilo Peña and Marvin Tampus duking it out for the Philippine super-flyweight crown.
