RTU clouters post 2 wins, share lead

MANILA, Philippines - The Rizal Technological University (RTU) Blue Thunder posted back to back wins over Forward Taguig and LBC Hari ng Padala to gain a share of the early lead with Phiten-Air Force in the 2009 Softball Pilipinas Fall season at the Rosario Sports Complex last Sunday.

Denmark Bathan teamed up with Jerome Bacarisas as the Blue Thunder beat the Forward Taguig nine, 8-2, before scoring a 5-2 romp over LBC Hari ng Padala, which suffered its third straight loss in the tournament presented by Cebuana Lhuillier and sponsored by LBC.

RTU got its very first win at the opening day with a hard-earned 8-7 victory over Globe Asiatique GA Realtors. Forward Taguig, meanwhile, scored its first victory against two losses last Sunday by posting a come-from-behind 4-2 victory over the Realtors who blanked a hapless LBC team, 8-0, in the next game.
