'Quest' tiffs aired over 'In This Corner'

MANILA, Philippines - Rod Nazario’s In This Corner will have a two-hour special show over NBN-4 tonight (7 p.m. to 9 p.m.) as it airs the “Quest For Glory” double championship boxing card held at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

The program, presented by Ginebra San Miguel, Purefoods, San Miguel Beer, Biogenic Isopropyl Alcohol, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) , GSIS and Petron, features the Philippine bantamweight title fight between Eden Sonsona and Monico Laurente and the Danilo Peña’s defense of his RP super-flyweight championship against Marvin Tampus.

The boxing card was held in tribute to the late boxing manager and promoter Rod Nazario and in cooperation with the weekly boxing show Rod Nazario’s In This Corner, the Rizal provincial government under Gov. JunJun Ynares and former Gov. Casimiro “Ito” Ynares.
