University of San Carlos goes for FBL sweep

MANILA, Philippines - University of San Carlos-North goes for a sweep in all three divisions of the Futures Basketball League (FBL) in Cebu City this weekend against different opponents at the Cebu Eastern College gym.

USC-North plays Don Bosco Technical College in the semifinals of the mini division while defending champion Sacred Heart School-Jesuit goes for the other finals slot versus PAREF-Springdale in the tournament sponsored by Primovit Multivitamins, Samsung, Gatorade, Philips Peripheral & Accessories, Accord Capital and hosted by the Cebu Eastern College.

In the midgets division, Saturday’s semifinals cast will have last year’s champion USC-North meeting Sacred Heart School-Jesuit while USC-South plays Don Bosco Technical College. The juniors division has defending champion USC-North going up against Cebu Institute of Technology while USC-South tries for an all USC finale as it plays against the University of San Jose Recoletos in the other semifinal match-up.

All the championship games will be played on Sunday, according to tournament commissioner Mike Reyes.
