Villanueva, Roldan reign in ABC tilt
MANILA, Philippines - Paeng Villanueva of Emerald Vinyl waxed hot with an eight-game series of 1629 to bag the Group I crown while Boy Roldan of Boysen Paints took the Group 2 plum with a 1545 in the Architects Bowling Club’s quarterly championship at the Green Valley lanes in Pasig City last week.
Ronnie Javier of ABC Phils. had 1604, Walter Villanueva of Crown Pipes made 1592 and Benny Tan of Atlanta Ind. rolled 1583 to finish second, third and fourth, respectively, in Group I of the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.
Malou del Rosario of Supreme Steel Pipes scored 1362 and Tony Sabater of ProActive Pest Control turned in a 1347 for second and third, respectively, while Totie Nunez of Sika Phils. finished fourth in Group 2.
Meanwhile, ABC president Romi de Jesus is inviting all ABC members to the group’s Christmas party on Dec. 5 starting at 4 p.m. at the Roofdeck of NGCP Tower, formerly Transco Bldg., along Agham Road, Quezon City.
Action in the event, backed by Stone 2000, Toto, Philflex, Hocheng Phils., Lepanto Tiles and Firefly-Royu, resumes today with the staging of the annual championship, also at the Green Valley lanes. Registration starts at 12 noon with the roll off set at 2 p.m.
