UE annexes sixth straight UAAP junior volleyball crown
MANILA, Philippines - The University of the East defeated UST, 25-15, 25-19, 25-15, to rule the 72nd UAAP boys’ volleyball competition via a sweep of the double round elimination recently at the UE Manila Gym.
The UE Junoir Warriors posted the three-set victory in the elimination’s final-game pairings to retain the volleyball title for six consecutive seasons.
Four UE Junior Warrrios also claimed individual awards. They are Morissey Claude Garcia (Most Valuable Player), Angelone Soria (Best Blocker), Brendon Santos (best setter) and Jewrome Eugenio (best libero).
The team is coached by Rodrigo Roque, assisted by the Best Blocker, Best Lebero, and Best Setter.
The other members of the team are Kim Relcopan, Kevin Francisco, Von Marin, Carl Manuel, Darren De Dios, Reuel Asia, Karl Roque, Evan Monsanto, Kenneth Bayking and Edmarson Baylon.
