Jr Warriors bag crown

MANILA, Philippines - The UE Junior Warriors slaughtered the Adamson Baby Falcons, 72-57, to rule the first National Juniors NCR tournament Wednesday at the Emilio Aguinaldo College Sports Center.

Isiah Banawa topscored for coach Mark Herrera’s Junior Red Warriors, who earlier defeated St. Clare College Caloocan and the FEU Baby Tams in the short tournament organized by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas, through SBP executive director Noli Eala, SBP secretary Ernesto Adalem and SBP tournament director Bernie Atienza.

“We came out aggressive from start to finish,” said Herrera. “Our players have played their best and I’m really proud of them. They are younger and less experienced but they have shown maturity and confidence in their games.”
