EDZA chessfest slated

MANILA, Philippines - The first Edza chess tournament will be held Saturday at SM Bicutan, Parañaque City with a big field expected to compete in the 1950-below category.

The event is sponsored by the office of Rep. Ed Zialcita of District 1–Parañaque City and organized by Barangay Don Bosco Chess Club in cooperation with the National Association of the Philippine Chess Arbiters (NAPCA).

The winner will receive P3,000 while the second and third placers will get P2,000 and P1,000, respectively.
