NCA stag big event gets going at Ynares

MANILA, Philippines - The National Cockers Alliance (NCA) holds the NCA Stag Big Event today with the NCA Stag Fighter of the Year at stake at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

The year’s top stag will receive the top prize of P250,000 with the runner-up getting P100,000.

Heading the chase for the coveted award are Elmer Nepomuceno’s “Erwin” with 14 points; Gerry Ramos’ “Against All Odds” with 13 points; and “JJT Archangel Oragon” by Jesry Palmares, Teng Rañola, and JV Magsaysay.

Also tipped to contend for the crown is Patrick Antonio, whose entry “Sagupaan Complexor” won the championship in the Sept. 8 derby for five points.

Boy Jalandoni and Budoy dela Cruz’s “BJ Sagay” are also expected to vie for top honors after ruling the Sept. 15 event worth five points.

Other leg winners in the event sponsored by Sagupaan Complexor, are Ricky Valencia “Scorpio Ronnie-VP” and “Calfis LZ”.

Also competing are NCA stalwarts and top cockers Gov. Ito Ynares, Manny and Arman Santos, Ka Luding, Ruel Ricaford, Chairman Rudy Albano and Jimmy Ang, Tommy Chua and Osang dela Cruz, Vice Mayor Nestor Mercado and Lito Orillaza, Mayor Ellan Nagaño, Peter Hizon, Elmer Nepomuceno, Batangas and Cebu Group, T. Sevilla, Danny Teves, Ferdie Buensalida, Butchuy, Olaño, Blandy Tolentino, Gov. Vic Yap, Bebot Roxas, Ricky Reyes, Boy Batas, Manny Pacquiao, Tony Marfori, James Uy, and Allan Siaco.
