Big firms support new football league

MANILA, Philippines - LBC Express, Inc. will be the main presenter when the United Football League kicks off its three-month long tournament next week.

Other backers of the UFL, sanctioned by the National Capital Region Football Association and held in cooperation with the Philippine Football Federation are Rudy Project, Gatorade, Nike Park, Asia Speedy, and McDonald’s.

It will be hosted by the United Football Club Association in cooperation with the Football Alliance.

Sixteen teams from the Armed Forces of the Philippines, expats and other top football clubs in the country will vie for the inaugural Cup. Each team is supported by a corporate sponsor, including Phiten, Digiprint, Rider, Selecta, 2GO, Smartmatic, Aloha Boardsports, Orient Freight, Inc., Victory Liner, Inc., ATR Kim Eng Securities, Inc., and E-Games among others.
