Poveda, Gymnastica rule friendship meet

MANILA, Philippines - Gymnasts from the Poveda Gymnastics Team and Club Gymnastica Pasig stamped their mark in the recent Milo-sponsored Club Gymnastica Friendship Meet held in Pasig City. Close to 150 participants took part in the highly-successful event, which is aligned with the efforts of Milo to build champions in life.

At the conclusion of the one-day competition, Poveda Gymnastics Team hauled five golds, followed by Club Gymnastica Pasig with 3 golds and St. Paul’s College Pasig (SPC) with 1 gold. Leading the way for Poveda were Alyssa Bautista (Level 1, 7-8 years old), Jakki Rayos del Sol (Level 1, 9 years old), Xeina Canlas (Level 1, 10 years old and above), Chelsea Coronel (Level 2, 8 years old and under) and Michelle Tan-Climaco (Level 2, 9 years old and above).

Holding the banner high for Club Gymnastica were Nia Tamara (Level 1 Division A, 9 years old and above), Rosanna Andrea Nolido (Level 2 Division A) and Eunice Evangelista (Level 4). Esther Nubla took home a gold medal for St. Paul’s College Pasig when she topped the Level 3 division. 

Club Gymnastica Pasig dominated the team standings when it amassed 360.20 points, followed by St. Paul’s College Pasig with 355.95 points. Poveda Gymnastics Team rounded out the top 3 with 351.70 points.
