Big boxing event up in sports forum

MANILA, Philippines - A big boxing event and a major marathon contest will be tackled in tomorrow’s PSA Forum at the Shakey’s UN Avenue branch.

Drian “Gintong Kamao” Francisco makes his first appearance before the public sports program aired live over DZSR Sports Radio 918 and supported by Outlast Battery, Pagcor, Accel and Shakey’s as he talks about his Oct. 3 fight against Roberto “La Arana” Vazquez of Panama for the World Boxing Association (WBA) international super-flyweight championship.

The upcoming Filipino pug will be accompanied by Touch Gloves boxing gym trainer Benny De La Peña, Saved By The Bell promotion president Elmer Anuran and Al Sabaupan, who will meet Mexican lightweight Josafat “Leoncito’”Perez in the undercard.

Sharing the limelight are organizers of the 2009 Smart Subic International Marathon led by Gen. Sam Tucay, Adi De Los Reyes and Smart sports head Patrick “Pato” Gregorio.

Completing this week’s guests list are Nuvali general manager Aniceto Binsar Jr. and race organizer Jhong Narciso, who will discuss the Nuvali Bike clinic and races.
