NCAA, PBA Awards, matches postponed

-

MANILA, Philippines - The NCAA yesterday announced the postponement of basketball games originally set today at The Arena in San Juan.

“Due to bad weather condition, games today will be cancelled,” said NCAA management committee chair Jose Mari Lacson of host San Beda.

The PBA Press Corps has also moved to Friday the staging of its Annual Awards originally slated last night at The Alegria of the Waterfront Manila Pavilion.

The PBA, meanwhile, announced the cancellation of pre-season games today at the Arellano and Lyceum gyms.

The games pitting the juniors and seniors teams of St. Benilde, Perpetual Help, Jose Rizal and San Sebastian will be rescheduled, Lacson said.

If weather permits, the Mapua-Angeles U Foundation and Letran-San Beda games Wednesday at The Arena in San Juan will be held as scheduled.

Yesterday’s NCAA volleyball games, featuring the Letran-Mapua (women’s), Letran-Jose Rizal (men’s) and Arellano-JRC at the Emilio Aguinaldo College gym were also reset, according to league volleyball committee chair Mike del Mundo of Perpetual Help.
