Animal lovers hold 'Walk for Peace' walk slated

MANILA, Philippines - The newly organized Pets for Peace will hold a series of events, including a walk for peace and peace sign formation with the pets, on Sept. 27 at the open field near Bonifacio High St., Fort Bonifacio, Global City, Taguig.

The event is held in conjunction with the World March for Peace and Non-violence and coincides with the World Rabies Day.

It will also feature a paw-hoof-claw print stamping booth where people can sign their names and stamp their pet prints in a show of support to the project.

The organizing committee of Pets for Peace is composed of Joey Tiosayco (Lovepets.com), Mark David Antonio (Phil. Golden Retrievers Club), Carmen Cabling (World March for Peace and Nonviolence), Florencio Hubo (Cross Breed Association of the Phils.), Mona Consunji (Animal Welfare Coalition), Patricia Carrascoso (Labrador Retriever Owners Club), Willa Tecson (Ang Komunidad), Dinky Ang (Sporting Dog Club of the Phils., Inc.), and Jeanie Mendoza (SDCPI).
