L Tunes fun run attracts big field

MANILA, Philippines - Over 500 runners are expected to participate in the Looney Tunes Active Fun Run, which gets under way Sunday at SM Mall of Asia.

The race features kids and adults who will vie for top honors in the 3K and 5K categories. Listup is still open with fees pegged at P300 for any of the 3K or 5K runs and P500 for both categories. The MOA fun run, to be fired off by Bugs Bunny at 6 a.m., serves as the highlight of a series of running events for kids aged 4-12 staged at various schools in the metropolis as Warners Bros., through Looney Tunes, joined the campaign in raising awareness on running as a competitive sport.

The 5K run, an open event, will start at 6 a.m. while the 3K run, open for kids 12-years-old and below, will be held at 7 a.m

Fabulous prizes await the top three finishers in boys and girls categories in the 8-and-below and 9-12 age group categories of the event, a Warner Bros. project staged to promote a healthy and active lifestyle among kids and adults.

Spicing up the event, backed by Alaska, Goldilocks, Timex watches, Nestle Ice Cream, PT Kino, Sterling, JC Lucas, and Advance notebooks, is a basketball 3-on-3 slated at 1 p.m.
