MANILA, Philippines - Sun Valley Golf Club in Antipolo City will be the venue of the eighth United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) Golf Cup on Sept. 9, with 150 players expected to compete for tournament honors.
Organizers have lined up a 2009 Suzuki Alto DLX, a Suzuki 125 Hi-Speed scooter and P50,000 cash for hole-in-one prizes. Both car and motorcycle will be raffled off if no player makes an ace. They also put at stake valuable items to be raffled off the awarding ceremony scheduled immediately after the game.
The Organizing Committee, headed by Wilson Sioco, has the full support of UAP national president Ana Mangalino Ling. Tournament chairman is Ramon Mendoza while the Ways and Means Committee is headed by Jose Siao Ling, with Daniel Go, Ed Casares, Joenel Kho, Simeon Tan, Nilo Villanueva and Jonathan Gan as a members. The other officials are Adones Baluyut, Edgar Pasion, Cipriano Cruz, and Samuel Esguerra.
The UAP Golf Cup is an annual event which started in 2002 to help raise funds for the completion of the UAP National Headquarters.
The events corporate sponsors are Davies Paints, Emerald Vinyl Corporation, and Neltex Development Co. as mega sponsors and Moldex Products and H-Chem Industries as major sponsors.
