Philflex bowlers cop ABC team crown

MANILA, Philippines - Paeng Villanueva, Joan Mendoza and Manny Padit combined for 4421 as Philflex Wires and Cables topped Group I while Stone 2000, composed of Eugene Ferraris, Tony Naval and Boy Roldan, pooled 3839 to capture the Group 2 crown in the Architects Bowling Club’s all-events, three-man team tournament at the Green Valley lanes in Pasig City last week.

Boysen Paints, headed by Mar Quianson, Nonoy de Jesus and Nepthy del Rosario, scored 4282 while Ryan Jalandoon, Nepthy del Rosario and Nonoy de Jesus turned in 4271 to finish second and third, respectively, in Group I of the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Sika Phils., led by Totie Nuñez, Ric Poblete and Tony Sabater, scored 3739 while Hocheng Phils., composed of Malou del Rosario, Greg Mare and Eugene Ferraris, made 3713 to place second and third, respectively, in Group 2.

Meanwhile, action in the event, backed by Crown Pipes, Supreme Steel Pipes Corp., ABC Phils., ProActive Pest Control, Toto, Atlanta Industries, Lepanto Tiles, Emerald Vinyl and Firefly Royu Lightings, resumes at 7 tonight with the staging of the monthly championship, also at the Green Valley lanes.
