Philflex shines in ABC team bowl

MANILA, Philippines - Paeng Villanueva, Joan Mendoza and Manny Padit of Philflex Wires and Cables pooled 2086 pinfalls to bag the Group 1 crown, while Eugene Ferraris, Tony Naval and Boy Rolsan of Supreme Steel Pipes Corp. combined for 971 pinfalls to annex the Group 2 title in the Architects Bowling Club’s all-events three-man team at the Green Valley Lanes in Pasig City last week.

ProActive Pest Control, composed of Bibs Luzande, Paeng Villanueva and Denis Jalandoon, made 2081 while the Boysen Paints of Mar Quianson, Nonoy de Jesus and Nepthy del Rosario scored 2055 to finish second and third, respectively, in Group 1, in the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Sika Phils., composed of Totie Nuñez, Ric Poblete and Tony Sabater, turned in 1917 while the Lepanto Tiles squad of Malou del Rosario, Greg Mare and Eugene Ferraris had 1880 to place second and third, respectively, in Group 2.

Meanwhile, action in the event, backed by Firefly-ROYU Lightings, Emerald Vinyl, Hocheng Phils., Atlanta Tiles, TOTO, Stone 2000, ABC Phils. and Crown Pipes, resumes at 7 tonight at Green Valley Bowling Lanes, C-5 Road, Pasig City.
