MANILA, Philippines - The ninth edition of the President’s Cup of the exclusive Wack Wack Golf and Country Club is shaping up to be one of the year’s biggest tournaments with a prize package of no less than P8 million up for grabs.
Set for Aug. 22 at the West Course of Wack Wack, the President’s Cup honoring the club’s current head Luis Tan offers a Jaguar XF OR Land Rover Freelander and three other premium sedans as hole-in-one prizes, a GT185 Bowrider Speedboat and four other special prizes for a natural eagle and a assortment of merchandise items.
There will be 12 grand raffe prizes, 40 major items and 120 minor ones to be given away to the 460 members and guests confirmed to play in the tourney that will use the Double Peoria scoring system.
The hole-in-one sponsors are TCM Corporation, Philippine Fire & Marine Insurance Corp., Mitsubishi Motors Philippines and Citizen Ecodrive. A 2009 Honda City 1.5 E A/T, 2009 Toyota Corolla Altis 1.6 A/T and Mitsubishi Lancer EX can be won with an ace on designated par-3 holes.

Participants will be classified according to handicap with Group I, Group II, Group III and Seniors for the men’s division, Group I and Group II for ladies and the guest division
The Sports and Games Committee of Tommy Tan has brought the President’s Cup to a higher level and is also introducing a pre-tournament, “by-invitation-only” cocktail billed “The President’s Night” in cooperation with Outback Steakhouse.
