Highlands Cup to benefit Sisters of Mary Center

-

MANILA, Philippines - The fourth Highlands Ladies Cup firing off Saturday will not only be a clash for golfing supremacy among the competing field but will also serve as a fund-raiser for the Sisters of Mary boys and girls town center in Silang, Cavite.

The organizing Tagaytay Highlands Ladies Chapter (THLC) is allotting part of the proceeds for the town center as part of its continuing commitment to help the underprivileged youths fulfill their dreams.

Backed by San Miguel Corp. and CATS Motors as platinum sponsors, the 18-hole tournament features the country’s top golfing lady executives and corporate bigwigs plus their guests at the Tagaytay Midlands Golf and Country Club in Tagaytay. It will have a shotgun start and will be played under the System 36 scoring format.

Leading the ceremonial tee-off at 7 a.m. are Tagaytay Highlands president Jerry Tiu and Willy Ocier, vice chair of Tagaytay Highlands, CATS Motors president Felix Ang, Pilipinas Shell chairman and president Edgar Chua and Inquirer chairperson Marixi Prieto.

A roundtrip ticket to the US, courtesy of Northwest Airlines, is at stake for hole-in-one feats with Club Car and Yamaha also giving away brand-new golf carts for aces on designated holes.
