US trip staked for ace in Highlands Ladies Cup
MANILA, Philippines - A round trip ticket for two to the United States will be staked as hole-in-one prize in the Highlands Ladies Cup firing off Aug. 15 at the Tagaytay Midlands Golf and Country Club in Tagaytay featuring the country’s top golfing lady executives and corporate bigwigs.
Northwest Airlines is putting up the main prize for an ace with Club Car and Yamaha likewise giving away brand-new golf carts for hole-in-one feats on designated holes in the event organized by the Tagaytay Highlands Ladies Chapter (THLC).
Meanwhile, corporate backers and other supporters keep pouring in for the event, headed by San Miguel Corp. and CATS Motors as platinum sponsors along with Unilever and Pacific on Line (gold), and Pagcor, Pilipinas Shell, Smart, Security Bank, Bank of Commerce, Dream Satellite, Bingo Bonanza and Highlands Prime (silver).
Leading the bronze sponsors are Odyssey Music, Concrete Masters Inc., Dunkin’ Donuts, H & E Mfg., Philippine Airlines, Coca-Cola Corp., Universal Robina, Marie France, Rudy Project, Guess, Von Friedrich Paterro, Royal Caribbean-Baron Travel, Kawsek Inc., Fern Slim, Continental Airlines, Dynamic Sports, IZOD, Contempo Designs, El Nido, Rosalind Wee, Rosalie Heo and Burlington.

The 18-hole tournament, also held to foster camaraderie among the competitors, will have a shotgun start and will be played under the System 36 scoring format.
