Ateneo spikers prevail

MANILA, Philippines - Ateneo survived Central Colleges of the Philippines, 25-23, 28-26, 25-20, at the start of the fourth Mamerto S. Miranda Cup invitational men’s and women’s volleyball championships at the Metro Manila College covered court in Novaliches, Quezon City.

The Blue Eagles relied on their experience to subdue the hard-fighting Bobcats in three sets.

In other matches in the men’s division, National University humbled Feati University, 25-22, 25-20, 15-25, 25-22; and National College of Business and Arts won by default over Manuel Luis Quezon University.
