Lascuña 2 shots behind leaders

MANILA, Philippines - Tony Lascuña birdied three of the last seven holes to fire a four-under par 68 to trail the leaders by two strokes at the start of the Indonesia President Invitational at the Damai Indah Golf, BSD course in Indonesia yesterday.

Artemio Murakami shot a 69 while Michael Bibat and Jay Bayron turned in 70 and 71, respectively, to carry the fight for the RP bets as Juvic Pagunsan, winner here in 2007, struggled with a 74 to fall below the projected cutoff line in joint 98th.

Marcus Both of Australia fired a six-under 66 to tie Thai bet Thaworn Wiratchant, Pasi Purhonen and Darren Beck in the lead, one ahead of Korean Lee Sung Thammanoon Sritot of Thailand and Adam Blyth of Australia, who all had 67s.
