Ledesma shines in Vegas netfest

MANILA, Philippines - Former national player Ting Ledesma took home first runner-up and third place honors in the 2009 US Open Table Tennis Championship recently at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

 Ledesma, 37, a member of the national team in 1993, 1994, 1996 and 97, outplayed five ex-national players of other countries starting from the round of 64 to make it to the finals of the under 2600 rating singles event.

 “I just keep playing and I didn’t notice that I’m already in the finals,” said Ledesma, also the president of Metropolitan Table Tennis Association (METTA).
