Mickelson, Callaway renew ties
MANILA, Philippines – Phil Mickelson, the world’s top golfer next to Tiger Woods, recently renewed his partnership with Callaway Golf Company.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Currently ranked No. 2 in the world, Mickelson will play a full complement of Callaway Golf equipment.
“Phil has been an integral member of the Callaway Golf family for several years and together we’ve achieved great success,” said George Fellows, president and CEO, Callaway Golf. “He’s clearly one of the most talented golfers ever to play the game and we’re proud to have our equipment in his hands as he continues towards the World Golf Hall of Fame.”
In the Philippines, the latest Callaway golf equipment and accessories are available at all Proline Sports Center stores.
Mickelson currently plays the Callaway FT-9 Driver, Big Bertha Diablo Fairway Woods, Tour Authentic X-Prototype Irons and X-Forged Irons, an Odyssey White Hot XG #9 Putter and Tour i Series golf balls.
Nicknamed “Lefty” for his left-handed swing, Mickelson, 38, has won three major championships and a total of 36 events on the PGA Tour.
In the last US Open, he finished runner-up for the fifth time in the tournament, losing to eventual champion Lucas Glover after firing bogeys on the 15th and 17th. He shared the lead following an eagle at the 13th.
