Magpantay tops Pagcor pool

MANILA, Philippines – Jonas Magpantay dominated the 32-player field to rule the first Pagcor-Kabayan Bilyar Aralan 9-Ball Challenge at the Jaca Billiards Hall on Recto Ave., Manila last Sunday.

Magpantay, 15, crushed Edward de Guzman, 8-1, in the final round to capture the crown and the top purse of P20,000.

De Guzman, 22, settled for runner-up honors worth P10,000.

Meanwhile, the third Philippine Junior Pool Championship will be held July 8-11 at the Star Billiards Center, 46 Joy St., Grace Village, Quezon City.
