Bidang Generix, Titans duel for PBL title

MANILA, Philippines – Will Oracle Residences continue to keep the franchise’s stranglehold of the league? Or will Pharex be able to complete an upset and be the first team outside of the Mikee Romero ballclub to reign supreme in the league in seven tourneys?

The answer will be known today when the Titans and the Bidang Generix clash in a climactic winner-take-all match for the PBL PG Flex Unity Cup crown at the Ynares Sports Center in Pasig.

Gametime is at 3 p.m. with both teams confident of winning the series, which has turned out to be a cliffhanger of a matchup.

In a game it couldn’t afford to lose, Pharex played with tremendous will and determination, hammering out a 73-67 decision last Tuesday to force the sudden death.

“All we need to do is to return with the right frame of mind and we will have a good chance of winning,” said Pharex coach Carlo Tan whose team now has a chance to end the mighty PBL rule of the Romero franchise.
