Batang Talk N Text reaches final

MANILA, Philippines - Batang Talk N’ Text-Quezon City made short work of the Burlington Batang PBA Baguio, 94-31, yesterday to advance to the finals of the 2009 Powerade Batang PBA National Championship at the San Juan Gym.

Matthew Nieto poured 14 of his game-high 16 points in the opening quarter as the Batang Texters od of coach Mark Herrera indicated the outcome of the match right then and there.

Dale Aldrich Dy scored 14 points and Matthew’s twin brother Michael added 13 for the Metro Manila champions, who finished the round-robin phase with a clean 3-0 mark.

Batang TNT-QC will face Burlington Batang PBA Bacolod in the knockout title game at 1:30 this afternoon at the Araneta Coliseum.
